ABOUT edward

Being described as "fierce" and "baritonal", Edward Brennan is an American tenor in the early stages of an exciting operatic career. With a wide span of repertoire he has had the honor of performing with many companies and orchestras around the country. He is a proud alum of the Institute for Young Dramatic Voices, and The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Edward also currently serves as the Director of Development and Operations for Charleston Opera Theater in Charleston, South Carolina.

As Canio in Pagliacci with Opera Vermont

“Edward Brennan’s powerful and beautiful tenor sympathetically reflects Canio’s misery.”

“The first act closes with the opera’s most famous aria, “Vesti la giubba.”…Brennan, as Canio, sadly — and irresistibly — reflects that despite his misery over his wife’s infidelity, the show must go on.”
